Signs

Pittsburg foundry produces custom cast signs.  Signs can be cast in bronze, brass or aluminum.  Most signs are cast from aluminum and typically have 1/4" raised letters with an accompanying border.  Aluminum signs are powder coated with a textured architectural grade powder coating and then the letter faces are machined to a brushed finish for maximum contrast.  These signs are beautiful!  You need to see one to appreciate it.  Here's an example of a 29 inch sign with a family name on it.   The letters on this sign are 4 inches tall. 

Process

Signs can be produced with lettering in most any windows True-Type font.  You can select from any of the various sign styles shown below or even design your own graphics in and send me an electronic document in any popular file format.  Prior to actually cutting the pattern for your custom cast sign, I will supply you with an electronic .PDF file or a FAX with the exact representation of what the final sign art will look like.  Upon approval of the artwork, you pay via PayPal, check or money order.  Your sign will be ready in about a week.

Prices

The 29" cast aluminum sign pictured above would cost $78.  In general you can take the length of the sign, multiply by two and then add $20 to arrive at the cost.  I'll be adding a form to the website in the near future which will allow you to select various fonts, colors, sizes, etc and price your sign online instantly.  Remember that each sign is custom produced on CNC machinery so if you have a specific design or logo that can be cast, you can always send your exact artwork in an electronic format and the pattern will be cut from your own artwork.
